Kauri Whanau for 2014 is made up of three classes; Rooms 13, 14 and 11. Our teachers are

Mrs. Collyer, Mr. Werder and Mrs. Gunson. We will welcome Mrs. Bassett and her junior

Room 12 class after Queen’s Birthday Weekend.

Room 11 is the Senior class.

We are expected to be positive role models for the younger classes. Some of the ways

we care for the younger children are by leading assemblies, by being buddy readers on a Monday

and by leading Kauri Fitness on a Thursday. Yazmin Kesckemeti and Felix Tasker-Erceg

were voted in as our Kauri Student

leaders. Lucy Jakicevich and Aengus Ordner were voted in as the deputy leaders.

Our class also looks after Rooms 13 and 14 on wet lunchtimes. We clear away everyone’s

food scraps each day and their recycling regularly. some of our Year 6s have also volunteered for school-wide duties, such as patrol and the library. Room 11 is a very busy senior class.
