We also got to see the Ngapuhi waka Ngatokimatawhaorua. It was made from two kauri trees and took approx a year and a half to build. We had fun pretending to be paddlers.
We were also fortunate enough to be part of a powhiri while we were at Waitangi. We saw a wero (challenge) and a cultural performance.

As part of Hauora, whanau gathered together to eat a healthy lunch. Our whanau gather together whenever we can to build a sense of community.
During the year we collect points for our whanau. These can be through whanau clean ups, sport days, collecting can tabs and yummy stickers. This year our winning whanau was Kauri!!!!! Congratulations!
